We provide an authentic Montessori education to children ages 18 months to 6th grade

“We seek to sow life in the child rather than theories, to help him in his growth, mental and emotional as well as physical, and for that we must offer grand and lofty ideas to the human mind…”

MIR is committed to creating an anti-bias learning community and to dismantling systems of racism and oppression. As a part of this vision, we strive to listen, learn, and respond by creating equitable values and practices. We will dedicate time and resources for continued staff learning. We will work in partnership with families to align our practices with our values and vision. We believe children should learn about the lives of others and see themselves in the curriculum and stories they hear. We aim to make Montessori in Redlands a welcoming, caring, and intentionally inclusive space.
We believe children have the capacity to create a more peaceful, just, and equitable future. Diversity makes us more resilient and strong, and we welcome you onto this journey with us.
MIR is located on the original homelands of the Cahuilla and the Yuhaaviatam clan of the Maara’yam (or Serrano) people. We pay respect to the descendants of these peoples within our community and acknowledge them as the traditional stewards of these lands.
Today the Cahuilla are known as the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and Morongo Band of Mission Indians. The Yuhaaviatam are known as the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. We encourage you to learn more about their culture, stories, and history:
