About MIR

We provide a joyful Montessori education in a manner that respects and embraces the whole child.

Montessori in Redlands (MIR) is an independent, nonprofit school located in Redlands, California that serves more than 360 students ages 18 months to 6th grade. We provide a Montessori education based on the principles and practices of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)

Accreditation and Affiliations

Lead classroom teachers hold AMI diplomas and the school meets the standards set by AMI. The school holds a six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the highest accreditation offered. WASC is one of the seven official regional accreditors responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, elementary and secondary schools in the United States, and foreign institutions that originate in the U.S.

MIR and its staff maintain close working relationships with staff and administrators at Montessori schools around the world. They are members of AMI, AMI-USA, AMI-Elementary Alumni Association (AMI-EAA) the Montessori Administrators Association (MAA), and other Montessori associations. Head of School Jenny Davidson currently sits on the AMI Board.

Non-Discrimination Policy and Diversity and Inclusion

This prohibition includes a perception that anyone has any of these characteristics or is associated with a person who has or is perceived to have any of these characteristics. We strive to build and nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a reflex, and where children and adults from any background can do their best work.
