The Power of Community
Since 1976, MIR has been more than a school; it has been a community. Families, students, alumni, faculty, staff, grandparents, and friends each play an important role in making MIR the joyful, welcoming place it is today.
As an independent, nonprofit school, MIR thrives because of the strength and generosity of its community. Whether by volunteering, sharing expertise, participating in school events, or making a financial contribution, every act of involvement helps sustain our mission and enriches the experience of our students.
The continued support of our community allows MIR to provide an authentic Montessori education while investing in our students, our teachers, and our campus for generations to come.
Support our Work
We deeply appreciate the philanthropy of all members of the MIR community. Your contributions of time, talent, and financial resources enhance the school for our current students and create a lasting impact for future generations.
There are three ways to give to MIR:
- The MIR Fund: This fund immediately benefits our students by funding essential facility upgrades, providing financial aid, and supporting professional development for our staff. As an annual fund, every donation directly benefits current students. Donate here
- The MIR Endowment: This fund secures the long-term financial health of MIR, ensuring that we can continue to fulfill our mission for generations to come. Contributions to the endowment can be made directly, through bequests from trusts, or by naming MIR as a beneficiary in your estate plans. Donate here
- The MIR Teacher Training Fund: This fund offsets the start-up costs required to establish a new Montessori teacher training center on the MIR campus. Contributions to this fund will support MIR’s commitment to bringing training opportunities closer to home for educators in the Southern California region and to expanding access to high-quality Montessori training for all.
