Downloading and Setting Up SchoolPass

The series of videos below will show you how to use the features of the SchoolPass parent app. Each video is super brief, 3-5 minutes at most, and easier than reading a long instruction manual.

Some of these features can only be used by the person designated the "Primary User" in SchoolPass. To see who the designated Primary User is, tap Drivers in the SchoolPass app. The first person listed (as "Driver") is the Primary User. If you need to change the Primary User, please email info@mir.org.

How to Find Your QR Code

Curb staff will use an iPad to scan the QR code associated with your SchoolPass account to check your child in and out. Here is how to access the code:

• Tap Profile in the lower right corner of the app (in the morning, you'll do this after completing the Wellness Check).
• Tap the "View QuickPIN" button.

Adults must have individual QR codes and cannot share accounts. We are required by law to know exactly who signs a child out.

Using the SchoolPass App

Authorizing MIR Parents for Carpool

To authorize MIR parents for drop-off or pick-up, follow the steps in the video Making Carpool Changes. Other MIR parents already have SchoolPass accounts and cannot be added to your authorized drivers list.

Drop Off & Pick Up for Another Family

To drop off or pick up a student for another MIR family, use the Drop Off and Pick Up buttons in the app.

Drop-Off:

• Tap the Drop Off button in your app
• Uncheck your own child(ren) - we are scanning them in
• Tap Continue

Pick-Up

• Tap the Pick-up button
• Tap Parent Pick Up
• Uncheck your own child(ren) - we are scanning them out
• Tap Continue

Adding or Removing Authorized Drivers

To add or remove authorized drivers, follow the steps in the video Adding & Removing Authorized Drivers. Use this feature to add any adult who is not an MIR parent to your list of authorized drivers. Email info@mir.org if you need assistance.

Reporting Absences

To report an absence, follow the steps in the video Reporting Absences.

Notifying MIR of Late Arrival

To notify us of a late arrival, follow the steps in the video Notifying MIR of Late Arrival.

Notifying MIR of Early Pick Up

Email attendance@mir.org with the date and time you'll pick up early. We will notify the child’s class. Please call us 10 minutes before you arrive to help us ensure your child is ready for you.

Updating Your Profile

Follow the steps in this video to update your SchoolPass Profile. Please note that updating your profile with SchoolPass will not update your information with the school. Email info@mir.org if you need to update your profile with the school.

Enabling Push Notifications

MIR does not currently use push notifications, but may do so in the future for emergency notifications. To ensure your push notifications are on, follow the steps in this video: Enabling Push Notifications.
